Things have been busy here in the food department of the CFT with various projects taking shape and exciting things happening…
The all new Country Curry is ready for launch! Small samples of the latest batch of our ever popular curry have been approved by the rigorous testing committee and sign off has been made, new packaging is well underway. A test sample has been sent for nutritional analysis – this enables us to lead on a big order and we shall be starting to produce a large batch of 75,000 curry pouches in late August.
We have decided to leave the casserole recipe as it is – given that it works well and is favorably greeted wherever it finds a home.
James Murphy CFT Photo project – the recipe and photo project is progressing nicely with another photo day kindly donated by James Murphy and his fabulous team in London. We now have recipes submitted by José Suto, Brian Turner and Juanita Hennessey with promises to do so from lots of other great cooks including James Martin and our new Patron Mark Hix. These recipes and photos will be part of our assistance given to Volunteer led charity kitchens nation wide who are participating in the CFTI being regionally piloted by trustee Duncan Clarke in Essex and East Anglia.
