The Country Food Trust was delighted to delivery nearly 250 pouches to St Mungo’s in Bristol on a cold January morning.

St Mungo’s is a homelessness charity and housing association.   Their vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. They provide a bed and support to more than 2,600 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives. St Mungo’s supports men and women in over 250 projects across the UK including advice services, emergency, hostel and supportive housing projects, advice services, specialist physical and mental health services and skills and work services.

St Mungo’s manages the specialist Outreach service in Bristol, where the team go out day and night to connect with people sleeping rough and offer support to build a life away from the streets.

Amy was introduced to Marcus who helps in the kitchen at the St Mungo’s run Compass Centre in Bristol every Tuesday. He was very interested in the product and was already thinking of ways in which the casserole could be used to make other meals.
