On Saturday 19th November we took part in The Great British Game Food Festival at Borough Market, London. Being able to participate in an event like this at such a great venue amongst the showcase of quality UK producers and specialist game food producers was quite something. Also being able to sell our product for the first time to the public was also exciting for us. Our sampling kitchen worked well and we received really positive feedback from everyone about what we are doing and also how tasty they thought our product was.

We sold just under 100 pouches which is fantastic as it means for every one we sold we can donate one to those in need. There were some really heartfelt purchases from people including three sisters who wanted to donate £10 from their fathers trust towards purchasing some casserole. Also another individual paid for a pouch and proceeded to take a warmed up version out on to the streets to find a homeless person to give it to there and then. It was these little stories that made us smile and definitely made it all the more worthwhile. All in all the event helped The Country Food Trust become a reality and it was good to get out there and tell our story.
