Our Ambassador for Yorkshire Richard Bourne-Arton very kindly invited us to be a beneficiary of the 2016 Tanfield Clay Pigeon Day held at Tanfield Lodge near Ripon. It was a glorious day with 54 teams of 4 competing in several categories, as well as lots of other events and activities. The Country Food Trust set up its stand for the first time and spoke to guns and onlookers as they passed by. Tim Woodward was also given time to thank the participants and explain how the charity was working just before the main prize giving ceremony. Many thanks to all for their input and thank you to Giles Edwards who very kindly donated £100 of his winnings to the charity. Finally a huge thank you to the Richard and Daphne and their family and the whole committee for their generous hospitality to our new charity.
