The Country Food Trust has run its first large scale fundraising event. The fundraising dinner attended by 120 people received generous sponsorship from Hampden & Co and many donations of auction prizes.
The event was a huge success raising over £200,000 meaning the charity is able to reach their target of feeding over 100,000 people this year. Advertising, sponsorship and ticket sales covered the entire cost of the event so all funds raised will go directly to producing food to feed people in need.
