The Country Food Trust Launches Winter Appeal
Today in Britain 8.6 million people are struggling to afford food for themselves and their families and that number is rising fast.
Right now, with the arrival of winter many in the countryside community are enjoying the sport of shooting; but the cold harsh weather also means that the demand for warm and nourishing meals is higher than ever.
Since it was created three years ago The Country Food Trust has attempted to help those who shoot to provide constructive and meaningful support to those in food poverty. It has provided over 130,000 game casseroles and curries to those who need it most and this year we want to provide 75,000 more. To do this we need to raise £100,000.
Today we launch our winter campaign to ask everyone who shoots or supports the sport of shooting to consider donating: Please help us provide those in need with nutritious and sustaining meals sourced from our countryside in the run up to Christmas and beyond.
Help us feed 75,000 people in need this winter. To donate please go to our VirginMoneyGiving page or
text CHOW10 £10 to 70070 to give £10 to provide meals for 7 people in need.
Thank you for your support
