We recently started delivering chilled and frozen meat to charities that cook for those they look after rather than handing out food. Local shoots have donated money to process their birds at local game dealers and The Country Food Trust has then helped to donate the game to local charities in need of meat. This was a huge success and we have managed to purchase and distribute over 12 tonnes of pheasant and partridge meat in recent weeks.

We also send the charities a special recipe book, which takes into account the limited kitchen equipment, and ingredients they may have at their disposal. The recipes, which have all been very kindly photographed by James Murphy Studio,  have been donated by an array of amazing chefs including Tim Maddams, Mark Hix, Brian Turner, Prue Leith, Rick Stein and many others.
